We talk found footage, exorcism movies, docking, a guest that demanded a $1,000 a minute to do my last show, Halloween, classic horror, just what is modern horror and a lot more so join us Friday to hear this very entertaining and mostly off topic discussion that left your host laughing a lot.

There is a little known Belgian -French horror flick that I have been wanting to see for a long time now. Directed and written by  Julia Ducurnau (Mange, Junior) Raw (also known as Grave) stars Garance Marillier (It's Not A Cowboy Movie, Solo Rex)  a young vegetarian veterinary student who, after a carnivorous hazing ritual at vet school develops a real hunger for meat.

I know some really anti-horror film-goers who have seen this film on the festival circuit who have sang this film's praises for taking a horror sub-genre such as cannibalism and taking it in a fresh direction. I have heard critics compare this to earl Cronenberg which is high praise indeed. So here is the trailer what do you guys and gals think are you going to seek out this film when it's released on the 10th March?

Is M. Night Shyamalan back???

With the box office and critical success Split has already garnered coupled with the success of The Visit we here at Terror Firma are left to ponder- Is M. Night Shyamalan back??

Shyamalan had directed 2 features before he hit it big with the Sixth Sense, Praying With Anger his debut featured him in the lead and Wide Awake a comedy starring Dana Delany, Denis Leary and Rosie O'Donnell

But it was the smash-hit Sixth Sense where he made his name and introduced the world to his new style of story telling, one that would bring him huge success and also plague his career for many years to come.

After Sixth Sense he directed Unbreakable and Signs to much fanfare and critical praise but then the praise ended with the release of the Village. The for this film was done with the insane trailer that the Studio released making the film appear to be a monster in the woods film which the movie certainly wasn't. Shyamalan has went on record saying he was disappointed by the marketing campaign of this film and it's clear to see why.

After this he filmed Lady In The Water and The Happening both of which were sub-par films for the talent involved and did not set the box office alight as his earlier fare had done but it wasn't til his next two films that people started right him off entirely as a filmmaker.

Those films were The Last Airbender & the disaster that was After Earth, the second of which almost sunk Will Smith's career in the process. People who had criticized him for his movies having twist endings were now criticizing his films for not having twist endings. He was damned if he did and damned if he didn't.

Shyamalan sidetracked into television producing very successfully with the hit series Wayward Pines and fans of his "holy Trinity" of movies (Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs) hopes were raised that he was about to make a comeback.

His choice of a "found footage" esque film the Visit was not promising as that has been done to death but he managed to bring an interesting take on it and craft a very enjoyable film in the process. His follow up to that is the box office hit Split which has all the critics and fans alike talking about it.

His next film, Labor of Love, takes him back to his roots as it's a romantic drama and is rumoured to be starring Bruce Willis.

So we come back to the original question: Is M. Night Shyamalan back? Only time will tell.

What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments bellow and over on the Facebook Group and Twitter

So The Walking Dead Is Going To Become Less Violent

What the hell? A zombie show without violence is like a Madonna music video that doesn't make you throw up in your mouth. It was announced that the producers of The Walking Dead toned down the voilence in the first half of season 7 after the strong viewer backlash regarding the now infamous killing scene opener.

Executive Producer Gale Hurd stated during a panel session at the NATPE conference "We were able to look at the feedback on the level of voilence, we did tone it down for episodes we were still filming for later in the season."

So What do you guys think was this the right decision or a miscalculation?

Omen Star Sentenced For Road Rage Attack

Omen star Harvey Spencer Stephens was sentenced for a road rage attack a few days ago. Spencer Stephens 46, is reported to have lashed out at two cyclists after getting out of his car following a dispute on the 21st of August 2016, a court heard.

He admitted to two counts of ABH and causing damage in the attack which occurred on Toys Hill, near Westerham, Kent.

Stephens was handed a suspended prison sentence at Maidstone Crown court.

Stephens became famous for portraying the role of the Damien in the 70s iconic horror franchise the Omen alongside megastar Gregory Peck. The Omen, one of the highest grossing films of it's time, raked in £50 million at the box office.

The incident began as two cyclists were in front of him side by side on the road as one began to overtake the other. One of the cyclists apparently flipped the bird to "Damien", not a wise move, and Stephens pulled in front of them, came to a stop and got out his car. He punched one of them repeatedly

knocking him  backwards and causing him various dental injuries and damaging his helmet, oo er.

"Damien" had had no previous convictions and pleaded guilty at the earliest opportunity accepting he "behaved poorly".

This isn't the usual kind of story I tend to report on and I wouldn't have if it hadn't gotten so much press. What he did was stupid and he deserves to be punished. What annoys me about this press story is if it wasn't for the fact he was in a hit movie 40 years ago this wouldn't have made the papers at all. You even have people saying its the curse of the Omen at foot here.... The curse of the Omen??? Really??? So he was cursed to get out his car and beat the shit out of someone was he??? I don't think so. Anyway as I said I wouldn't have normally commented on this or reported on it but the fascination of reporting these kinds of stories with a pseudo-celebrity connection really irritates me and I know I have added to it by reporting on it here haha but what is our fascination with celebrities, even z-list ones, getting into trouble?

And now we return to our usually scheduled Killertainment!
